
On 3 February 2026) at 8:30 a.m., Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, through the Division of International Strategy and Relations and the Research and Development Institute, jointly organized an academic cooperation meeting with a delegation from Chengdu University, People’s Republic of China. The meeting was held at Tho Kaeo Meeting Room, Office of the President, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, and was chaired by Dr. Sompong Raksatham, Acting President.



The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and explore guidelines for academic collaboration between the two institutions. Key areas of discussion included the management and operation of the Teaching Practice Center of the Faculty of Education, Chengdu University, at the Demonstration School of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University; student internship placements; faculty and student exchange programs; development of a Chinese language curriculum under the 2+2 program; organization of study visit programs for graduate students; and the development of joint China–Europe research projects to apply for research funding from the European Union (Erasmus).


In addition, the meeting addressed Thai–Chinese research collaboration focusing on the management of cultural capital in Nakhon Si Thammarat City to create added value for the global market, as well as the organization of international academic activities and research presentations by researchers from Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University.


This collaboration marks a significant step in building an academic network between Chengdu University and Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University. It is expected to contribute substantially to academic development, enhance the potential of students and staff, and continuously elevate educational standards toward internationalization.
