
On June 12, 2025, Dr. Sompong Raksathum, Acting President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University (NSTRU), together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Somrak Rodcharoen, Vice President for Research and Information Technology, Asst. Prof. Dr. Surin Thongthot, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, deputy deans, the deputy director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, and staff members from the Division of International Strategy and Relations, visited and exchanged knowledge on library management practices at Chengdu University, People’s Republic of China.


The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Chengdu University Library. The Chengdu University Library is an impressive academic resource center, covering more than 40,000 square meters across 10 floors, housing over 2 million printed books and 140 million e-books. It serves more than 27,000 students and welcomes over 3,000 external users and international visitors each month.




The library provides a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, ideal for reading, studying, and relaxation, with modern facilities that allow students to make full use of the library’s resources. The visit served as a valuable opportunity for NSTRU representatives to observe, learn, and exchange best practices in library and information management, fostering academic collaboration and international partnership between the two institutions.
