On March 16, 2026, the
Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication (CLIC) is hosting a workshop entitled “Recap CEFR: Reviewing Key Concepts of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)” at Yanhong Conference Room, Central Library (Building 15, 6th Floor). The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr.
Wichit Sookkhathon, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Human Resources.
The workshop aimed to promote and enhance the capacity of English language teaching among teachers from partner schools that have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, as well as other interested network schools and English lecturers of the university. The objective was to strengthen participants’ knowledge and understanding of internationally recognized English language proficiency standards.

In addition, the training aimed to review and reinforce key concepts of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), along with practical approaches to applying the framework in designing learning management, classroom activities, and student assessment in alignment with international standards. The application of CEFR in English language teaching is highly beneficial, as it provides clear direction for instructional design, supports the systematic development of learners’ English language skills, and enhances the overall quality of English language instruction in accordance with global standards. This, in turn, contributes to improving learners’ ability to use English effectively for communication and higher-level learning.

Participants included school administrators and teachers from partner schools, namely Pak Phun Municipality School, Wat Mahayong Municipality School, Wat Sala Mee Chai Municipality School, Wat Thaokhot Municipality School, Ban Na Khao Wat School, Ban Chang School, Ban Phang Pring School, Ban Pak Duat School, and Wat Yang Ngam School. In addition, faculty members and staff from Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University actively participated in the workshop, working collaboratively to enhance the quality of English language teaching toward international standards.
